Steven George Gerrard
Steven Gerrard is an English midfielder and Liverpool icon who spent seventeen first-team seasons at Anfield, captaining the club through some of its defining cup successes of the 2000s.

The full story
Gerrard came through Liverpool’s academy and made his senior debut in 1998. He developed into an all-action midfielder capable of defending, creating and scoring from distance, and became club captain in 2003. His most famous club achievement was leading Liverpool to the 2005 UEFA Champions League title, while he also won the UEFA Cup, two FA Cups and three League Cups during his Anfield career.
Liverpool records credit Gerrard with 710 appearances and 186 goals between 1998 and 2015. He later finished his playing career with LA Galaxy and moved into coaching.
