History

Arsenal moved from Plumstead to Highbury in 1913 in a project intended to strengthen the club’s finances and supporter base. The ground became the setting for Arsenal’s major twentieth-century league and cup successes and remained home until May 2006, when the club moved to Emirates Stadium.
